A Family Engagement Initiative

DSC_9111

The Community Cup Classic™ is an annual free family fitness and youth engagement competition of

the Community Cup Classic Foundation that culminates in a one-week summer celebration.

Connection

Connect youth and families to a network of evidence based supports to reduce health disparities and be successful in today’s global economy.

Celebration

Increase positive adult engagement by creating opportunities where youth are celebrated.

Family Centered

Communities earn points for participation in a variety of Community Cup Classic™ family centered activities, programs, events, opportunities and sports.

Culmination

Community support provided for sustainable youth development opportunities and to eliminate barriers to becoming a lifelong learner.

Community Means Everything

The Community Cup Classic Foundation was created to improve adult engagement in all facets of a young person’s development.  Our work creates avenues where youth are shown appreciation by those within their community, their social groups and most importantly by those that reside in their homes.

Our vehicle to accomplish this mission is the Community Cup Classic™ an annual county wide family fitness and youth engagement competition that culminates in a one-week summer celebration. Annually, through fundraising efforts the winning community will receive a bonus award for neighborhood improvements to benefit families (local recreation center, a playground or renovation to a community field.)

Winning the Cup

How we determine the winning community?

Through the use of technology, communites, individuals and families, earn points within the five primary objectives.

The community with the highest cumulative point total

will be named the Community Cup Classic™ champion

and receives The Community Cup Classic Cup™

Youth philanthropic boards will be established to distribute funds raised locally

such that all communities benefit directly with their participation.

Conclusion

Our team at the Community Cup Classic Foundation

understands that to improve a community the residents

must be active participants in its continued and sustained development.

Our ultimate goal is to connect youth and families to a network of evidence based supports

to reduce health disparities and support the successful transition of youth through adolescence to adulthood.

We understand that this development does not exist in a vacuum but within the everyday environments that each youth must navigate.

As positive adult engagement increases, our strategies fuse with this involvement as we strive to instill in students

the self-confidence and motivation to stay in school, graduate from high school

and pursue post-high school education, career training, join the military and/or employment.

The fundraising model provides sustainable resources to support the long term growth of our initiative.
